Body Fat estimates
with up to 6 models

Fitmatic estimates your body fat percentage by leveraging several mechanisms. First and foremost we can estimate your body fat based on your height, weight and age, however, similar to the BMI, weight based body fat formulas do not take into consideration how the weight is distributed, as a result we also include Body Fat formulas that are based on measurements and excluding weight.

  • Marine Corp Wright - Body fast based on measurements
  • Navy Hodgdon & Beckett - Body fast based on measurements and/or Weight
  • Army Friedl & Vogel - Body fast based on measurements
  • Body Mass Index - Body fast based on weight (more specifically your BMI data)

We further provide you guidance on how your Body Fat percentages can scale with a change of Weight or Measurements to get a better idea of your targets and possible goals.

One could say, we really take Body Fat estimation serious !!

Health Indicators

Additionally, the composition report focuses on three commonly used health indicators.

  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Waist to Hip Ratio (WHR)
  • Waist to Height Ratio (WtHR)

The combination of the three results are used primarily by Doctors and health industry invidiuals to describe your level of obesity.

Note: One of the main challenges with the Body Mass Index (BMI) is that it does not take into consideration how the weight is distributed - so it may not be a good reference for any individual that is active and exercising.

Lean Body Mass Analysis

Finally, while leveraging the body fat formulas, we can now review your muscular composition using the Fat Free Mass Index (FFMI) which analyses your body after your body fat has been removed to give you an idea on how to rate your muscular mass. And don't worry, we provide you a quick guide to analyse your weight and lean body mass accross various body fat levels.

After review of all composition data, you should have a decent idea where you are, now we can apply one more model to determine your true lean body mass potential using various models.
